P1040184
Where: Day Out With Thomas at Fillmore & Western Railway in Fillmore, CA.
Temp: A cool 68 degrees, Sunny & warm
Mood: Giddy

Free activites/access for the kiddies with paid train ride admission:
  • Bounce Houses
  • temproray tattoo station
  • railway toy sets set up so the kids can play
  • a stamp station
  • a coloring station
  • a small hay maze
Items we had to pay for:
  • Food
  • Tickets to ride the train (which is a 25 minute ride)
  • toys/souveniers at the Thomas the Train Shop
  • Photos taken by the staff with Sir Topham Hatt/Thomas (you can purchase & view the photos later at the Thomas the Train Shop or online).
*You can bring your own food/ice chest & a couple of folding chairs to sit down while you enjoy the park. Or you can check out the local shops & restaurants that are within walking distance.

My husband stumbled upon this event while searching for stuff for us to do as a family. Luckily, we have a toddler who is obsessed with Thomas. What better way then to spend the day with his favorite locomotive.

We didn't know what to expect. I was assuming that we would have to pay money for the activites (such as the bounce house), but we didn't. Just as long you paid for the train ride everything was free, except for the food which was pretty resonable.
